Frequently asked questions
Do all profits from the Texas Flag Hammock really go to Harvey relief?
Yes! The road to recovery in the wake of Hurricane Harvey will be a long one and we cannot thank you enough for your support in purchasing our Texas Flag Hammock. All profits will go towards Hurricane Harvey relief efforts through the American Red Cross.
Why the Red Cross?
We have selected the American Red Cross to be the beneficiary of our donation to ensure that our donation has the widest reach across Texas. We could have chosen a nonprofit that works specifically in Houston, given that our families are in Houston and that is where we have personally felt the biggest loss; however, our hearts are for the entire effected region and we stand in support all of those who have been impacted. We will send our donation to be used specifically for Hurricane Harvey, no other disaster relief. For immediate, effective, and far-reaching aid, we are confident in and support the Red Cross' efforts.
What happens if my hammock gets wet?
With many printed hammocks, slight red dye running may occur if the hammock gets wet. Dry fully before repacking and don’t overdo the bug spray (notorious for dye run).
How do I store my hammock?
Coloring in the Flag Hammocks may experience slight bleeding with exposure to moisture. For best care practices, ensure your hammock is fully dry before repacking.
What happens if my hammock print bleeds?
Due to humidity here in Texas, a few hammocks have experienced bleeding in storage, prior to shipping. If this happens, please give us the opportunity to make things right. email@example.com.
