The hammock that goes anywhere, anytime.
With our packable yet incredibly strong Gravitas™ 40D fabric, the Roo Single is a camper’s secret weapon in the backcountry.
Gravitas ripstop nylon fabric provides reinforcement to protect against tearing and ripping. The Roo Single holds up to 400 lb.
Diamond ripstop reinforcement dramatically reduces fabric stretch for a higher-performing hammock that will outlast competitors.
Treated with a DWR premium water repellent for maximum moisture resistance.
You’ll stay cool when it’s warm and avoid condensation when it’s cold. Breathability means faster drying, too.
We break in Gravitas fabric for you with an exclusive crinkle treatment, ensuring out-of-the-package softness and exceptional packability.
A UV inhibitor keeps your Roo Single's color looking bright season after season.
*Roo Single is made of nylon and will deteriorate with long-term exposure to the sun. To care for your Roo, pack up and store after every use.
At only 10 oz, the Roo Single allows you to travel lightly and set up camp anywhere. With a generous footprint of 4'2" × 8'4", the Roo Single is incredibly lightweight for its size and holds up to 400 lb.
Superior stuff sack
Made from our water-resistant and abrasion-resistant Diamond Shell™ fabric, the attached rolltop stuff sack provides quick, secure storage. It doubles as a drink holder (or other small accessories) when the hammock is in use.
Mini Kanga Claw™ carabiners are rated at an impressive 13kN and feature a unique design to ensure your weight is placed on its major axis, or the strongest area of the carabiner, at all times. 5 points for team safety.
Racer Slings™ are made of Dyneema, a super-strong synthetic fiber that, weight for weight, is 15 times stronger than steel. Racer Slings support an amazing 5,000 lb of force each.
8 integrated gear loops
The Roo Single includes eight reinforced gear loops for quickly attaching carabiners, gear accessories, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to order carabiners and straps?
Each Roo Single comes with a set (2) of Mini Kanga Claw carabiners. Straps are not included. Order a set of Python 10 straps (or one of our other straps) to get your hammock off the ground and your adventure on its way.
Why are there loops along the sides of the Roo Single?
Gear loops are for quick access to gear. Attach a water bottle, headlamp, stuff sack, kendama, or any gear you always want ready.
How many people can fit in the Roo Single?
The Roo Single hangs one most comfortably. With a max capacity of 400 lb, however, the Roo Single can hang two people to lounge.
What is the difference between the Roo Single and Roo Double?
The biggest difference between the Roo Single and Roo Double is the size of the hammock. The Roo Double is 10' long, and can hold up to 500 lb. We recommend the Roo Double if you plan to camp in your hammock, or if you will frequently be hammocking with two people. The Roo Single is 8' long and holds up to 400 lb. At only 10 oz, we recommend the Roo Single for those looking to have a quick-access or lightweight hammock that goes anywhere.
How do I wash my Roo Single?
Hand washing your hammock with cold water and biodegradable detergent is best for extending its useful life, but it can also be cleaned in a washing machine (front-load machines are best). Washing machine instructions:
- Remove the carabiners and slings prior to wash.
- If the Roo is soiled or stained, use a small amount of powdered detergent (preferably biodegradable). Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or stain removal products.
- Wash the hammock by itself using the gentle/cold water setting.
- Hang to dry. The hammock will dry quickly in warm/dry environment. Do not stuff back in stuff sack damp or wet.
What happened to the Wallaby?
Our popular Wallaby single hammock has received a new name and an updated design. It is now called the Roo Single for increased clarity.
