Python 10' Hammock Straps
Lighter and stronger suspension
Patented Nanoweave™ technology eliminates extra stitching and bulk, while strengthening the hammock straps overall. Hang from the hammock straps safely up to 500 lb. When not in use, coil the Python straps down into their Sil/PU coated stuff sack.

At a combined 20 feet with 20 points of connection per strap, the Python 10 straps enable you to achieve the perfect hang at any campsite. Our high-tenacity polyester webbing ensures a no-stretch hang, keeping your hammock at an optimal hang angle all night long.

Will the Outpost mount on my vehicle?
The stock mounting hardware included with every Outpost is designed to fit the majority of roof rack systems, but it is not 100% universal. See our compatibility blog for more details.
Can I hang things from my Outpost?
We do not recommend hanging anything beyond small accessories such as string lights or a tarp from the horizontal crossbar. The “A” frame telescoping legs can support larger accessories and products.
Can I hang a tarp over the Outpost horizontal bar?
You can use the horizontal bar of the Outpost as a ridgeline to hang a tarp, such as the Kuhli weather shelter or the weather shelter included with the Mantis all-in-one hammock tent.
What is the tallest or shortest vehicle the Outpost can be mounted to?
The vehicle roof rack that you want to mount your Outpost to should be no taller than 80 inches and no shorter than 50 inches.
Can I leave the Outpost mounted on my vehicle when I drive?
You can leave the mount attached, but we do not suggest you drive with the bars attached.
Can I mount the Outpost to something that isn’t a vehicle? Like a wall or tree?
No. The mounting equipment is only compatible with a vehicle with a roof rack.
How many Outpost hammock stands can I attach to my vehicle?
The amount of Outpost hammock stands that can be mounted to your vehicle is dependent on your attachment points and the weight rating of your vehicle's roof. Crossbars commonly have a weight rating of 165 lbs. If you are using light duty crossbars or stock crossbars that came on your vehicle, be sure to check the rating before installing your Outpost.
How have you configured the Outpost stand so I can achieve the optimum hang?
The Outpost comes with a short set of straps very similar to our Python straps. These straps have the same loops along their length for setting the Hammock in the desired position.
For adjusting the height, particularly with taller vehicles, you can telescope the legs, which will result in the structural ridgeline being at an angle. This is ok. Then offset the hammock, on the straps on the loops, further in one direction or to one side than the other. This will position the Hammock for the desired hang.
For mounting the ball joint, you will need a "hard point" to either clamp onto or bolt into. The included mounting kit can be setup in a variety of configurations. The most common setup is a set of Crossbars, but compatibility ranges from Crossbar stay racks, to basket style, to base/platform style systems. You can even mount to a wall or tree with a few after market nuts and bolts!

Do I need to order carabiners and straps?
Each Roo Double hammock comes with a set (2) of Kanga Claw carabiners. Straps are not included. Order a set of Python 10 straps (or one of our other straps) to get your hammock off the ground and your adventure on its way.
Why are there loops along the sides of the Roo Double?
Gear loops are for quick access to gear. Attach a trail quilt, water bottle, headlamp, stuff sack, kendama, or any gear you always want ready. For hammock campers, these gear loops are an excellent way to keep your hammock underquilt or top quilt in place. Our Roo Double pairs well with our line of trail quilts, check out the Firebelly 30, Bobcat 45, and Arctos 20.
How many people can fit in the Roo Double?
With a max capacity of 500 lb, the Roo Double can comfortably fit two when lounging. If you're camping overnight, we recommend only one person sleep in the hammock for a better night's sleep.
How do I wash my Roo Double?
Hand washing your hammock with cold water and Grangers Down Wash + Repel is best for extending its useful life, but it can also be cleaned in a front-load washing machine (do not use a washing machine with an agitator).
Washing machine instructions:
- Remove the carabiners and slings prior to wash.
- If the Roo is soiled or stained, use the recommended amount of Grangers Down Wash + Repel. Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or stain removal products.
- Wash the hammock by itself using the gentle/cold water setting.
- Hang to dry. The hammock will dry quickly in warm/dry environment. Do not stuff back in stuff sack damp or wet

How many straps are included when you purchase the Python 10 straps?
Two hammock straps are included with each Python 10 order.
Do I need to order Python 10s with my hammock?
Straps are not included with your hammock purchase but you'll need some to hang. If you don’t already have straps, make sure to pick up a pair of Python 10s with your hammock purchase.
Are Python 10s tree friendly?
Thousands of trees are damaged every year from chain or rope straps that strip tree bark and wear into the outside of the trunk. Kammok Python 10s are designed with variable width polyester webbing (from 1.5" to .75") that displaces pressure on trees and minimizes a hammock camper's footprint on nature. You can also add a pair of Python Extenders, whose 2-inch width means they provide ultimate tree protection and meet most park requirements on hammock straps.
How much weight can Python 10s support?
Python 10s can hold up to 500 lb per strap.
Can I use my Python 10s with non-Kammok hammocks?
Kammok Python 10s work with any hammock that uses carabiners to suspend. However, 10 out of 10 would recommend pairing with a Kammok hammock.
How do I wash my straps?
We recommend you hand wash your Python 10s with a small amount of gentle soap in warm water.
