Care Instructions

Hand Washing + On the Trail

When the Wallaby hammock gets dirty, and it will, we recommend that you hand wash. Usually you can use a damp cloth to wipe off some dirt spots. If the Wallaby needs to be washed due to lingering 'trail oder' or stains, we recommend the following steps:

Instructions:

  • Dilute a small amount of biodegradable soap in a container of clean water
  • Remove the carabiners and slings prior to the wash
  • Soak the Wallaby in soapy water, ring out, and then rinse in cold clean water
  • Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or stain removal products
  • Hang to dry - the Wallaby will dry quickly in warm/dry environment

Washing Machine:

Hand washing your Wallaby hammock is best for extending its useful life, but it can also be cleaned in a washing machine (front-load machines are best because they don't have an agitator and conserve water).

Instructions:

  • Remove the carabiners and slings prior to the wash
  • It is best to wash the Wallaby by itself
  • Use the gentle/cold water setting
  • If the Wallaby is soiled or stained use a small amount of detergent (preferably biodegradable)
  • Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or stain removal products
  • Hang to dry - the Wallaby will dry quickly in warm/dry environment
