This is a special relationship with Ubuntu, an organization based in Austin, Texas. Ubuntu is a direct reflection of Kammoks model of: Give, Develop, Sustain.
Ubuntu prides itself on its "mile deep and inch wide" mentality when approaching community development. They started 10 years ago constructing a school, and are now the largest employer in a city of 60,000+ people. Ubuntu’s initiatives focus on five specific needs: Education, Environment, Economy, Health and Community. Each area directly impacts the community as a whole and each is interrelated to the success of one another. All of Ubuntu’s initiatives are managed by full-time local Kenyan staff and community volunteers.
Certified B Corporation
Kammok is committed to leading insocial & environmental impact.
We're excited to help draw a line drawn in the dirt, joining other businesses that have made the commitment to do away with business as usual. This recognition reinforces our commitment to a stakeholder-centric business model and our mission of engaging people in the adventure of changing lives.
Certified B Corporations operate the same as traditional businesses but meet higher standards of corporate purpose, accountability, and transparency. In order to be recognized as a Certified B Corporation, Kammok had to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance and legally expand its corporate responsibilities to include consideration of stakeholder interests. With this recognition, Kammok joins a growing list of for-profit businesses including Patagonia, Warby Parker, Klean Kanteen and Etsy in their commitment to social and economic performance, transparency and accountability.
